Stop for a moment

stop for a moment

It’s back to work for many of us today, possibly back to the busy-ness that’s a way of life for many people. When we get caught up in its mindless cycle it’s easy to miss the whispered signs and messages around us, easy to miss the calmness, beauty and simplicity in the smallest of moments. This year perhaps it’s time to make a conscious commitment to step off the hamster wheel every now and again to stop for a moment and be present in it.

When we choose to live by intuition and trust that the Universe has our back, we can let go of trying to control our lives, and instead stay in flow with what the Universe has planned for us. It frees us from worry, doubt and fear and enables us live in the moment.

Next time you find yourself feeling anxious or overwhelmed by your to do list, stop for a moment, take a breath, and tune in to your inner self, where you are always centred, still and calm.

Look up at the sky… listen to the sounds around you… notice the clouds… feel the ground beneath your feet… hear your footsteps… the birdsong… breathe in the scents carried on the air… Take a moment to watch the clouds pass by… and if you find your mind wandering, that’s alright… just bring your attention back to the clouds… and your breath… and notice how you feel…
