One of the most common questions people ask when they find out that I’m a Reiki Master Teacher is “so what exactly is Reiki?”, and it’s a difficult question to answer in a way that explains the wonder of Reiki.
Reiki is the Japanese word for “universal life force energy”. Rei is “universal” and ki is “life force energy”.
Everything around us is made up of energy. Whether it’s solid, liquid or gas, animal, vegetable or mineral, all matter is energy that flows constantly. Energy flows through all of us, and we all have the ability to channel this energy for healing.
I believe that pure love is the universal life force energy that heals each of us, making us whole.
Reiki practitioners undergo levels of attunement to raise their energy vibrations, opening themselves to become channels through which Reiki energy flows.
Reiki is channelled by the Reiki healer into the recipient, creating a non-invasive healing treatment that can be beneficial for stress reduction, relaxation and holistic healing of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
Reiki works wherever needed on the physical, mental, energetic and spiritual planes to activate the natural healing power of the body and enable the recipient to create positive change in their life. It clears away emotional blocks that cause physical disorders in the body, and removes toxins to create an inner sense of harmony and well-being.
Reiki is great when you’re in good health to boost energy levels and maintain balance. It is also beneficial for mild to chronic conditions in conjunction with conventional medicine.
I recommend you try Reiki for yourself and see what happens! Everyone experiences Reiki in a different way, and it is suitable for all ages. Some of the benefits you could experience listed here:
